How can I change the guest's name in a booking?

  1. Go to the Orders section, select the desired order, and click the “Customer Support: make a request” button in the bottom right corner.

  2. Select “Change a booking” and then “Guest's first and last name.”

  3. Enter the new first and last name, then click “Send the request.”
    The guest’s name amendment is free.

  4. In most orders, name changes are accepted automatically — in this case, you'll see a message saying, “Changes have been successfully made.”

If automatic changes are unavailable, the request will be sent to support. No additional action is required.

5. The guest's name will be automatically updated in the order card and on the voucher.

Can I change the guest's name on the check-in day or after check-in?

You cannot automatically change the guest's name on the day of check-in and after it (but before the check-out date). In this case, the request will be forwarded to the support team, and they will assist you with it. Changing the guest's name after the check-out date is not possible.

Can I change the guest's name during the non-refundable period?

Yes, the cancellation policies and the non-refundable period do not affect the ability to change the guest's name.

Can I change the names of multiple guests in a booking?

Yes, if the booking includes multiple guests and/or rooms, you can change the name of one or multiple guests.

Can I undo a guest name change?

No, but you can change the name again to revert it to the original.

Will the booking price change after a guest name change?

No, the booking price will not be recalculated as a result of a name change.

Booking date amendments

You can modify booking dates depending on the type of change required: shortening or extending the stay.

How can I shorten a booking?

  • Open the order card

  • In the bottom right corner, click “Customer Support: make a request.”

  • Select “Change a booking” → “Dates of stay.”

  • Or go to the main page orders, select an order, then select “Modify order”

Please note: If the booking includes multiple rooms, the length of stay can only be changed for all rooms at once.

There are no available dates for amendments, what should I do?

If there are no available dates for amendments, our support team will contact you to find an alternative solution.

How long do the booking date amendments take?

Booking date amendment requests are usually processed automatically within 5 minutes. If approved, the new dates will be updated in the order card and on the voucher. If automatic processing is unavailable, the request will be handled by the support team.

Can the booking cost decrease after date amendments? How do I receive a refund?

Yes, the booking cost can decrease after date amendments. If the booking has already been paid and the total cost decreases after the amendment, the refund will be issued automatically according to the original payment method (for example, to a bank card or to the balance account).

Can the booking cost increase after date amendments?

The booking cost cannot increase automatically. If a price change occurs after a date amendment, our support team will contact you to confirm the new price before applying any changes.

How can I extend a booking?

If you would like to extend the stay and rooms are available on RateHawk:

  1. Create a new booking for the additional dates

  2. Inform Customer Support that the new booking is an extension of the existing one

If there are no available rooms on RateHawk:

  • Open the order card

  • Click “Customer Support: make a request.”

  • Submit a request to check availability for the extension.

We will check the availability with the hotel. If the extension is possible, the additional cost will be added to the invoice, and the voucher will be updated accordingly.
