What are the new transfer rules at Antalya Airport (AYT)?
International flights land at Terminal 2. Since May 12, private transfer vehicles no longer park at T2; they now wait at T1.
Here’s how the new process works for a seamless pickup:
After landing at T2, clients should check the meeting instructions on their voucher and head to the dedicated meeting area near the TÜRSAB checkpoint, just outside the terminal.
Once they’re there, clients should message or call the driver to confirm they’re ready.
When they’ve checked in, the vehicle will enter the pickup area. Please be aware that vehicles can only remain in the zone for up to 15 minutes, so prompt communication is essential.
My client can't find the driver. What should they do?
If your client can’t find the driver, they should call the support number printed on the voucher straight away.
At IST, drivers are typically permitted to wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled arrival time. During peak season, customs and baggage claim may take longer than expected, so clients should contact the driver or support team immediately in case of delays.
Clients should not leave the meeting point or arrange alternative transportation before speaking with support, as this may affect assistance and refund eligibility.
Does my client need a working phone for the transfer?
Yes, having a working phone for the transfer pickup is essential. Drivers coordinate arrival adjustments, delays, and meeting points by phone. Make sure your clients arrive with a charged phone or a power bank. Travelers should also activate international roaming before departure or purchase an eSIM beforehand or a local Turkish SIM on arrival.
Airport Wi-Fi is available at both IST and AYT, but it is not reliable enough for driver communication. The support contact number is on the voucher — clients should screenshot it before landing.
Please note that drivers often use WhatsApp to share pickup details and coordinate meeting arrangements.
How far in advance should transfers be booked, especially in summer?
For high seasons like summer, transfers should be booked as early as possible — ideally at the same time as accommodation. Last-minute private transfer availability drops sharply in June–September, and taxi queues at AYT can be very long. Advance booking guarantees availability and locks in a fixed price.
Will the driver track my client's flight for delays?
Flight tracking is available if it was selected at the time of booking. However, if there is a significant delay or an issue inside the terminal (customs, baggage), the client should still proactively call support number. Don't rely solely on flight tracking.
