RateHawk lets you choose the payment timing that works for each booking. Pay immediately, complete the payment later, or let the traveler pay at the accommodation when this option is available.
You will see the available options at checkout or on the order page.
Book and pay now
Complete the booking and payment in one step.
Choose an available payment method at checkout and pay immediately to confirm the booking.
Best for: Bookings you are ready to confirm and pay for right away.
Book now and pay later
Create the booking first and complete the payment later from the “Orders” tab or “Reporting” → “Unpaid invoices.”
This option is available for:
All refundable rates
Non-refundable rates when you have a sufficient credit limit
The order page shows the payment status, available protection options, and any applicable auto-cancellation deadline.
For partners with Booking protection feature:
A refundable booking can be protected with Credit limit or kept active until the free cancellation deadline.
A non-refundable booking can only be protected with Credit limit. If your available limit is insufficient, Book now and pay later is unavailable.
Unprotected bookings will be cancelled automatically 30 minutes before the free cancellation deadline. Please check bookings in advance and change protection for those you'd like to keep.
Best for: Reserving the rate and availability now while giving yourself more time to collect payment or arrange a transfer.
Pay at the accommodation
The traveler pays the accommodation directly instead of paying through RateHawk.
This option is available for:
Hotel bookings only
Eligible postpay rates
Net prices only
Best for: Bookings where the traveler prefers to settle the payment directly at the accommodation.
Where can I see my options?
RateHawk displays only the payment options available for the specific booking. Availability may depend on the rate, booking type, and your agreement.
At checkout, you’ll see whether you need to pay immediately or can pay later. For an existing booking, open it in “Orders” to check the payment status, payment deadline, and available actions.
